Tigers Look to Snap Two-Game Skid Against Kentucky
Nashville, Tenn. - The Tigers will try to put together some missing pieces and focus on starting their next game the way they finished their last. The Tigers will head to Lexington, Ky. to match-up against the University of Kentucky Wildcats. The game is scheduled for Monday, December 22nd, at 6:00 p.m inside Rupp Arena.
The game will be televised on the Fox Sports Network (FSN - check local cable listings for station) and the radio broadcast will be aired on the Big Blue Network (WVOL 1470 AM - Nashville, WMRB 910 AM - Columbia, WOJG 94.7 FM - Jackson). The Tigers (3-6) face their second SEC opponent and fifth straight road game, winning one out of the last four.
Gerald Robinson scored 15 points in the Tigers' loss to Alabama and leads the team averaging 19 points and four assists per game.
The Wildcats (8-3) are on a three-game win streak defeating Mississippi Valley State, Indiana and Appalachin State. Jodie Meeks leads the Wildcats with 24.1 points per game shooting 46 percent from the field. The last time the teams met (12/30/02), Kentucky defeated the Tigers 115-87 adding to their series lead, 3-0.
The Tigers are 1-4 on the road with three of the losses coming in the month of December. The Tigers will continue their December road swing when they visit Marshall (12/28) and Georgia Tech (12/30).
