Tigers Take On UT Martin in OVC Play

Tigers Travel to UT Martin

Nashville, Tenn. - The Tigers (5-10, 3-2 OVC) will try to bounce back after a tough loss to Murray State when they visit the Skyhawks of UT Martin, Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center (6:00 p.m.). 

TSU owns the overall meetings, 24-18, with UT Martin winning the last match-up, 91-81. In their last two games, the Tigers have shot over 40 percent from the field and had three players score in double digits.

Gerald Robinson, Jr. (18.3 ppg) and Jerrell Houston (14.4 ppg) lead a Tiger squad that averages 71 points per game and are 1-8 on the road.

UT Martin (8-6, 1-3 OVC) are 4-2 at home after losing to defending OVC Champions, Austin Peay. The Skyhawks are led by OVC Player of the Year, Lester Hudson, who is the league's leading scorer with 27 points per game.

Next up, the Tigers will host Austin Peay, Saturday, Jan. 17. Tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
