Tigers Host Tennessee Tech in OVC Match-up

Nashville, Tenn. - Following the women's game, the Tigers (6-12, 4-4 OVC) will look to tack on another win against TTU after coming from behind to beat Jacksonville State, 59-57. TSU will look for consistent offensie from their leading scorers, Gerald Robinson, Jr. (17.6 ppg), Jerrell Houston (13.6 ppg) and Darius Cox ( (9.9 ppg, 7.2 rpg).  

Tennesse Tech (9-9, 3-5 OVC) holds the series, 24-20, winning thier last meeting of the 2007-08 season against the Tigers, 78-75. Both teams won on home court as the Tigers picked up the win against TTU earlier that year, 73-72.

The Golden Eagles encountered an 87-71 conference loss to Austin Peay Thursday night, losing five of their last six games. TTU comes in with four players averaging double-digits, Daniel Northern (11.5  ppg), Will Barnes (11.4 ppg), DJ Lindsay (10.1 ppg) and Frank Davis (10.1 ppg).

Next up, TSU's basketball teams will hit the road for a two-game conference road swing when they face Morehead State (1/29) and Eastern Kentucky (1/31). The Lady Tigers and Tigers defeated both teams earlier this month in the Gentry Center.
