NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State men's basketball team is finally heading on its summer trip, it's just that it is a little later and to a different destination than was originally scheduled. Six returning Tigers from last year's squad and the coaching staff will be heading to Costa Rica for a pair of games this weekend. The Tigers were originally scheduled to go to the Philippines, but the departing date was changed three times before being cancelled prior to the last departure date in July. The Tigers had practiced right times, and had pair of practices upon their return to campus. TSU coach Cy Alexander, said while the team's travel for the summer had a drastic change, he hopes the two games played in the Central American country will be beneficial for his team. "This is definitely a good opportunity to play and see what areas that we have improved in since last season," said Alexander. The Tigers will play the Costa Rica National Team and also a Costa Rica Club team. TSU will play Friday and Saturday. TSU will have six players on the trip. Scheduled to make the trip are Wayne Arnold, Andrae Belton, Courtney Bohannon, Reiley Ervin, Eric King, and Bruce Price. Fall classes begin at TSU on August 29.
