COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State suffered through a tough field goal shooting night for the second time in as many games as host Tennessee Tech took a 71-50 victory over the Tigers Saturday night. The Tigers, who scored a season low 51 points in Thursday's loss at Austin Peay, was 16-57 from the floor for 28 percent. Eric King was the lone Tiger in double figures for the second straight game, scoring 11 points. King also had a game-high 10 rebounds for TSU which held a 43-35 rebounding edge. Tech (12-7, 7-1) gained sole possession of first place in the Ohio Valley Conference race with the victory. Milone Clark led the Eagles with 19 points. Tech shot 48 percent (25-52) from the field. TSU (9-13, 4-4) concluded a stretch of four straight road games. The Tigers host Eastern Kentucky Thursday night.
