NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State basketball player Reiley Ervin has been notched his second straight Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for his performances in two Tiger games last week. Ervin earned the repeat the honor for his effort in games at Tennessee-Martin and Murray State. He averaged 11.0 ppg and 3.0 assists in the two games. At UT Martin, he connected on 4-of-5 3-point field goals, handed out five assists, and four steals. AT Murray, he tallied eight points with and assist and one steal. A 5-10, 160-pound point guard from Memphis, Ervin helped lead White Station High to three consecutive Tennessee Class AAA state titles. He was named MVP of last season's state tournament. Ervin joins teammate Rod Flowers (Player, Newcomer) as a multiple OVC award winner this season. and Bruce Price was also honored as a Player of the Week earlier this season.
