MARTIN, Tenn. --- Tennessee State built a commanding halftime lead on the way to rolling past host Tennessee-Martin 92-76 in Ohio Valley Conferenmce men's play Thursday night. The Tigers (9-10, 4-1) scored a season-high 57 points in the opening half, making 19-of-33 field goals, including 9-of-12 from 3-point range. TSU led by as much as a 26-point lead in the second half before the Skyhawks cut into the final margin down the stretch of the game. TSU placed five players in double figures. Eric King came off the bench to lead the group by scoring 16 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Roshaun Bowens, Rod Flowers, and Reiley Ervin all scored 14 points while Kareem Grant scored 16. The Tigers finished shooting 52.5 percent from the floor. UTM (4-13, 1-5) was led by Will Lewis who came off the bench to 15 points and grab 12 rebounds. TSU plays at Murray State Saturday night.
