CHARLESTON, Ill. --- Host Eastern Illinois shot 50 percent from the field (29-58) while Tennessee State managed just 30 percent (22-74) from the floor on the way to an 82-61 defeat Thursday night. The Tigers trailed 40-30 at halftime and the Panthers kept control of the game in the second half. TSU falls to 11-14 overall and 6-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference. EIU improved to 10-13 and 5-7. Bruce Price led TSU with 13 points while Karrem Grant scored 12 and Eric King added 10. The Tigers were 6-32 from 3-point range. The Panthers placed all five players in double figures. Aaron Patterson and Bobby Catchings scored 15 to lead EIU.
