HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- Tennessee State had the basketball with 1.3 seconds left and a one-point lead, but the Tigers were whistled for an offensive foul before the inbounds pass and Alabama A&M's Chris Collins hit a shot at the buzzer to give A&M a 78-77 win. The Tigers appeared to be in position to win the game after Bruce Price hit a pair of free throws with 21 seconds left. The Tigers then came up with the defensive stop and Roshaun Bowens came up with the rebound. However, Price was called for an offensive foul away from the ball as the Tigers prepared to inbound the ball. "It is very tough to lose a this," said TSU Head coach Cy Alexander. The Tigers had come back from a deficit in the second half to take the lead. Price led TSU with 23 points while Roshaun Bowens scored 18. Jeremy Jackson helped spark TSU's rally with four 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 15 points. A&M was led by Ricky Ricketts with 20 points. The Tigers play at Wyoming on Wednesday night.
