NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State fell victim to a pair of big plays down the stretch as visiting Fisk University sealed a 69-65 upset of the Tigers Monday night. After Fisk led much of the second half, the Tigers fought back to tie the game after freshman Adrian Pritchett made 2-of-2 free throws following a technical foul with 45 seconds remaining. Chris Davis made the go-ahead layup with 14 seconds remaining and Ty Juan Garth sealed the game with a layup following a steal with three seconds remaining. Davis led all scorers with 20 points. The Bulldogs shot 47.5 percent (28-59) from the field. Jeffrey Anderson came off the bench to add 14. Roshaun Bowens led TSU (1-10 with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Garrett Richardson added 12. The Tigers shot just 36 percent (19-53) from the field and 62 percent (23-37) from the free throw line. TSU plays at Iowa Saturday night.
