NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State men's basketball dropped its 15th consecutive game as Eastern Kentucky defeated the Tigers 89-72 in an Ohio Valley Conference game Monday night. The teams played with four players each after an altercation with occurred with under nine minutes remaining to play. Players left the bench area, which led the officials to clear the benches with the exception of the four players each team had to finish the contest. Garrett Richardson led the Tigers with 24 points while Jeremy Jackson added 12, and Adrian Pritchett scored 10. EKU was led by Jon Bentley who scored 32 points, making 14-16 field goals. Matt Witt added 14. TSU now stands 2-20 and 0-11 while EKU improves to 10-12 and 4-7 within the conference. TSU plays at Austin Peay Thursday night.
