Asa Duvall was named the Tennessee State men's basketball video coordinator prior to the 2019-20 season. 

Duvall arrives at Tennessee State after serving a short stint as the assistant at Cincinnati Christian after graduating from Lipscomb with a bachelor’s of science in corporate business.

Duvall attended Lipscomb University where he saw action in 60 contests as a reserve, leading the team in assist to turnover ratio as a sophomore and earned academic accolades as an ASUN Conference Scholar. In his final year in purple and gold, Duvall assisted the team in its first appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Prior to playing for the Bisons, Duvall prepped at Hargrave Military Academy where he averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 assists per game as the point guard. He led Hargrave to a 32-8 record and No. 2 national ranking among postgraduate programs. Duvall left Hargrace as the 15th best player in the state of Virginia and 74th shooting guard in the nation.

As a Nashville native, Duvall attended Brentwood High School where he helped the team reach the TSSAA final four for the first time in school history. His efforts earned him a McDonalds High School All-American nomination, averaging 14 points for BHS.
