2017 - Senior Season
Played in nine games, starting eight, at cornerback… had a team high four interceptions and had three pass breakups… registered 19 tackles, 15 solo and 0.5 for loss… returned a pickoff 36 yards for a touchdown at Eastern Kentucky (10/7)… made a season high five stops and four solos at UT Martin (9/23) in his first contest after missing the previous two and a half games due to injury… intercepted passes against Austin Peay (10/14), Southeast Missouri (11/11) and at Jacksonville State (11/16)

2016 - Junior Season
Finished ninth on the team in tackles (30) starting all 11 games at cornerback… Led the team with nine pass breakups and was second in passes defended (12), while ranking 43rd in the nation with 1.1 passes defended per game… Picked off two passes and broke up two passes at Bethune-Cookman (9/17)… Had season highs in tackles (7) and solos (5) before recording the game clinching interception against UT Martin (10/1)… Registered a tackle for loss, two breakups and four tackles at Murray State (11/29)… Tallied four tackles with three solos at Vanderbilt (10/22) and against Eastern Kentucky (10/15)

2015 - Sophomore Season
Finished with 28 tackles, 23 solos, an interception, a forced fumble and seven pass breakups, while starting in all ten games... Had a 69 yard return on his lone interception of the season against Eastern Illinois (10/17)… Forced a fumble and recorded a season high six tackles against Alabama State (9/6) in the season opener… Notched five tackles and two pass breakups at Jacksonville State (9/19)… Earned a season high three pass breakups at UT Martin (10/10)

2014 - Freshmen Season
Appeared in 11 contests as a true freshman… Tallied 18 tackles (12 solo)… Intercepted two passes… Forced a fumble against Tennessee Tech (Sept. 20)… Picked off the first pass of his career in the homecoming game against Florida A&M (Sept. 27), returning it 43 yards for a touchdown… Broke up a pass versus the Rattlers… Made his second interception against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 1)… Recorded a career-high five tackles in the season finale at Murray State (Nov. 22)… Helped lead the OVC’s top pass defense (153.3 yards per game)…

Starred at cornerback for Miami Central Sr. High School… Led his team to a 13-1 record as a senior, a No.8 national ranking and a second-place finish in State… Received a two-star grade from Rivals… Garnered interest from Appalachian State, Georgia Tech, NC State and West Virginia… Had an offer from Alabama State… Is the brother of former TSU wide-out Tyrone Butterfield… Intends to major in Communications…
