Josh Chance

Joshua Chance joined the staff at Tennessee State University in August 2011 as the assistant strength and conditioning coordinator and was promoted to his current role as the Director of Strength and Conditioning prior to the 2014-15 academic year. He primarily works with football, women's basketball and volleyball.

Before coming to TSU, Chance attended The University of Georgia from 2009-2011, where he served as the graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach with the football program under Dave Van Halanger (MSCCC). While there, he received his master 's degree in Adult Education. Chance is a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCCa).

Prior his tenure at Georgia, Chance served under Joey Batson (MSCCC), assisting with football and Olympic sports in the Strength and Conditioning Department.

As an undergraduate, Chance started four years with the Central Washington University football team. He played defensive tackle for the Wildcats and earned First Team All-GNAC honors in 2005. A native of Battle Ground, Wash., Chance graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Central Washington University.
