Cedric Williams

Cedric Williams joined the football staff as the offensive line coach in 2009 after serving as a graduate assistant with the University of South Carolina.

His duties include: designing short yardage plays, breaking down opponents' film, scouting, and analyzing opponents' stunts and blitz schemes. 

Williams coached the Gamecocks for three seasons (2006-2008) help guiding them to the Liberty Bowl (2006) and Outback Bowl (2008). His primary duties consisted of scouting opponents fronts and blitz packages.

Before working in the football capacity at South Carolina, he served as an activity therapist for the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. His duties included mentoring and designing athletic programs.

Williams was a first-team All-SEC performer for the Gamecocks in 2000. He was a starter on the offensive line from 1999-2002 and helped his team to two Outback Bowl wins (2000 and 2001).  He was named a Preseason All-American and All-SEC in 2001.

Williams, a native of Charleston, S.C., graduated from the University of South Carolina  with a B.A. in Sports and Entertainment Management in 2003.
