Shannon Harris
Shannon Harris joined the staff in 2003, serving as wide receivers coach in 2006.
In 2009, Harris duties shifted becoming the quarterbacks coach heading the development of all players in the position. 
He is in charge of recruiting for West Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Indianapolis, Mobile, Mississippi Junior Colleges, and Illinois Colleges.

As a former TSU quarterback, Harris had an outstanding season for the Tigers in 2001, setting a new Tiger standard for total offense in a season with 3,137 offensive yards.

The Wiggins, Miss., native played two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College where he was selected to the All-Mississippi South team and played in the Mississippi Junior College All-Star game.

After his playing career at TSU concluded, he remained with the program as a student assistant coach. He also played the 2003 season with the Shreveport Battle Wings of the Arena Football League II.

Shannon received his degree in criminal justice from TSU in 2004. He has one son, Payton Harris.
