Football to Face Mississippi State in 2021

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State football has announced a contest versus Mississippi State for the 2021 season. The game is to be played at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, Miss., on Nov. 20.

The matchup between the Big Blue and the Southeastern Conference Bulldogs will mark the first meeting between the two institutions.

Tennessee State has played a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in each of the last four seasons. The Tigers faced Vanderbilt in 2016 and 2018, as well as Georgia State in 2017 and Middle Tennessee in 2019.

The contest will close out the 2021 regular season after a full slate of Ohio Valley battles. TSU will host games versus Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech. The Tigers will travel to Southeast Missouri, Jacksonville State, Eastern Illinois and UT Martin.
