Tigers to Recieve 2013 Conaway Cup on Jan. 25

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State football team will be presented the 2013 Conaway Cup at center court in-between the women’s and men’s basketball games against Morehead State on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Members of the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) will award the honor to the Tigers following a season in which they posted a 10-4 record and won a game in the FCS Playoffs for the first time since 1986.

The HSRN Conaway Cup, named in honor late HSRN Co-Founder LeCounte Conaway is indicative of the HSRN National Football Champion in the respective divisions.

The HSRN will also braodcast both Tennessee State basketball games on Saturday, which can be heard here.

2013 marks the first time that TSU has claimed the Conaway Cup.
