Tiger Camp: TSU Hits the Humid Outdoors

Nashville, Tenn. - For the first time in fall camp, the Tennessee State Tigers made it outside.

It was a muggy 90 degrees on Tuesday morning. The Big Blue worked on individual skills during and added a few team exercises during the two hour session.

"I thought practice went well," said head coach Rod Reed. "Our guys came out and competed really hard. We got zapped by the sun today. That's why they call these first few days' heat acclimation periods. Overall, I thought we had a productive practice."

On Wednesday, the Tigers will suit up in shells for the first time. The Tigers will continue to work on installing the offensive and defensive schemes for the remainder of the week.

"I think our guys will be up for the challenge," said Reed. "We are still focusing on fundamentals and installing right now. Next week, we'll start fine tuning a bit."

Practice starts tomorrow at 9:15am and is open to the public. The Tigers will be at the practice field outside, weather permitting.
