Tiger Camp: Two-a-Days Continue

Nashville, Tenn. - It was another day of two-a-days for Tennessee State as they continue to get ready for the season opener vs. Florida A&M coming up on September 1st.

The back and forth battle between the offense and defense persisted as the offense bounced back a bit from their performance yesterday.

"I told you it was probably going to flip (from yesterday)," said head coach Rod Reed. "The offense got after the defense in that situational period. Overall, we're just continuing to grow as a team."

With the second week of camp coming near an end, it's important that the players keep on grinding.

"You are at the point in camp know where you hit the wall," Reed explained. "Guys are trying to push through it. It's hot out here and guys are doing a lot of conditioning. We just have to keep pushing."

The Tigers will be looking to change their focus in practice starting next week. After the scrimmage on Saturday, everything from there on out will be geared towards FAMU said coach Reed.

Fall camp continues as TSU will have a full practice Friday morning starting at 9:15 pm.

Tigers ranked in Boxtorow HBCU Poll

The preseason Boxtorow HBCU FCS Coaches Poll has been released and TSU finds themselves ranked 10th. FAMU received one first place vote and is ranked eighth. The defending MEAC Champion Norfolk State Spartans will start the season ranked number one. Season opponent Bethune-Cookman is second in the preseason poll.

Fan Day Set

TSU Fan Day will be Saturday, Aug. 25 at the indoor practice facility. Fans are invited to come out and collect autographs and photos with the 2012 football team.
