Tiger Camp: TSU Sees Scout Team

Nashville, Tenn. – The scout team saw some action on the practice field Wednesday morning for Tennessee State as the Tigers get ready for Florida A&M on September 1st.

"We split up scout teams today," said head coach Rod Reed. "I think it sparked the guys interest a little bit more that we were going against our first opponent (Florida A&M)."

After going up against each other for the past two weeks, a change of pace was a welcomed sight.

"Everybody is excited to see what Florida A&M is going to do, so we lined up in their defense, what we think they are going to be in defensively," said Reed. "We did the same offensively and ran some plays."

The players practiced in shells today after being in pads much of camp.

"We’ve had a pretty physical camp." Reed said. "We’ve hit every day in camp since we’ve put the pads on. I thought it was time for us to get our legs back and see what our opponent is doing."

The Tigers are back on the practice field early Thursday morning starting at 7:30 am followed by a late session beginning at 5:45 pm.
