Lewis, Williams Prepare for NFL Combine

Former Tennessee State players, Cornelius Lewis and Javarris Williams have arrived in Indianapolis, Indiana to participate in the 2009 NFL Combine.

 Javarris Williams, the Ohio Valley Conference “Offensive Player of the Year”, is a 5-11, 220 lb running back from Richmond, Texas. He arrives at the combine after an impressive showing at the East-West Shrine All-Star game last month. He is projected as a mid-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Cornelius Lewis, a 6-5, 330 lb, offensive tackle from Jacksonville, FL,  was a two-time All-OVC performer after transferring to TSU from Florida State in 2006. C-Lew is projected to play at the offensive guard position in the NFL.

Lewis (OL30) arrived at the combine on Wednesday (2/18/09) and will complete his workouts on Saturday, 2/21/09. Williams (RB32) arrived at the combine on Thursday (2/19/09) and will complete his workouts on Sunday, 2/22/09. Player workouts can be followed on the NFL Network.

Lewis and Williams are the only Ohio Valley Conference players invited to participate in this year’s NFL combine workouts.
