NASHVILLE --- Brandan Blew has been named running backs coach at Tennessee State University, Tigers head football coach James Reese has announced. Blew comes to the Tigers from the staff at San Jose State University. Blew was a member of the Spartans' staff for three seasons. "Brandan should be a great addition to our staff," said Reese. "He brings a great sense of knowledge of what we are trying to accomplish offensively." A native of Fayetteville, Ark, Blew is a 1998 graduate of the University of Arkansas and also earned his master's degree from Arkansas in 2000. He served on the Razorback staff for two years, working as an administrative assistant and as an offensive assistant coach. He moved to San Jose State in 2001 and worked as a graduate assistant with all the defensive backs two seasons, before concentrating on the cornerbacks last season. Blew also served as the Spartans' football summer camp administrator for two years. Blew replaces Bill Khayat who took a position earlier this year with the Arizona Cardinals. Blew began his new duties at TSU on Thursday (July 1).
