NASHVILLE --- By late Wednesday afternoon, the Tennessee State football staff had signed 37 players to national letters-of-intent on a very busy first day of the 2004 signing period. The Tigers first day signees included 15 players from the Nashville area, several out of state prep standouts, and five players from the junior college ranks. "Our staff has really worked hard and did a great job of identifying the players to help fill our needs and who will be a good fit for our program," said TSU Head Coach James Reese. "We were hit hard by graduation, especially in the secondary and at wide receiver and we feel very good about the young men who are joining our program." Along with the Nashville area players, the Tiger staff also inked high school players from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas and junior college players from the New York, Kansas, and California ranks.
