NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State junior football player Carlos Wright has been honored as the Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week for his performance in the Tigers’ game at Alabama A&M Saturday. Wright received the honor after returning two punts for 80 yards and a pair of kickoffs for 45 yards. Wright had a 66-yard punt return for a TD in the third period, which at the time gave TSU a 21-18 lead. A 6-2, 200-pound athlete from Middleburg, Fla. Wright has been a versatile performer for the Tigers this season. Primarily a wide receiver, Wright has also lined up at times in the backfield. He has scored touchdowns both rushing and receiving this season, in addition to Saturday’s punt return for a score.
