NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State concentrated on situations in its second major scrimmage of the spring football practices Saturday. The scrimmage will be the Tigers last until next week's Blue-White Spring Game to conclude the drills. The Tigers worked on their play in the red zone, coming out from deep in their own territory, third-downs, and the two-minute drills in the session on Saturday. ?It was overall a very positive scrimmage,? said TSU coach James Reese. ?Several of the younger players made progress from last week to this week and that is encouraging. We are still in the process of making evaluations on our younger guys.? Veteran receivers C.J., Johnson and Carlos Wright each had big catches during the days. The Tigers will return to practice on Monday before turning focus to the spring game on Thursday with the selection of the teams for Saturday's contest. The seniors will be divided by a coin flip into the Blue and White teams and then a draft will be conducted to fill the teams' rosters. The Blue-White game will be held Saturday (April 12) in Hale Stadium at 3 p.m.
