Associate Head Athletic Trainer
Brad Swope joined the Tennessee University athletic training staff prior to the 2018-19 school year as the Associate Head Athletic Trainer. In his role, Swope works directly with the men’s basketball and track and field teams.
A veteran in the business, Swope has more than three decades of experience in the field. Prior to his arrival at TSU, Swope worked as an athletic trainer for Welch College and Merrol Hyde Magnet School.
Swope has made a number of stops in his professional career including Springboro Sports Medicine and Baxter Healthcare in Ohio, as well as Baptist Hospital - Sports Medicine, Sumner Regional Medical Center, among others, in Tennessee.
He was honored with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association 25 Year Award in 2005.
Swope graduated from Miami (Ohio) in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in biology education / athletic training.
