Alexis Gant joined the Tennessee State track and field coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the start of the 2019-20 season. The native of McDonough, Georgia works directly with TSU’s throwers.
Gant arrives at TSU following a three-year career at Georgia Southern.
Throughout her standout collegiate throwing career, Gant took three trips to the Sunbelt Championships and had six first-place finishes in shot put, hammer throw and discus - her latest first-place finish coming in the shot put event at the Georgia Tech Invitational April 2019.
She graduated from Georgia Southern in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
She is working toward her Master’s degree in sports science with a concentration in exercise science at TSU.
