STARTING LINE: The Tigerbelles look to continue their strong outdoor season with the APSU Invitational on April 15-16 in Clarksville, Tenn.
THE SCHEDULE: The meet will start on Friday with the pole vault beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday, the meet will pick up with the discus, which is slated for a 10 a.m. start.
LAST TIME OUT: In the last team event at the Pepsi Florida Relays, Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.) posted the best 100m hurdle time in the OVC this season in 13.40. Hughes also teamed with Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.), Kayla Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) and Christian Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) to put together a time of 3:39.01 in the 4x400m relay. In an individual event, the Bulldog Heptathlon on April 6-7, Dameus took fourth in the heptathlon with a personal record score of 5,729 points.
AWARDS: For the third week in a row, Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.) earned Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week. Including the indoor season, Dameus has won the award five times this season. Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.) has also been recognized as OVC Track Athlete of the Week four times and Field Athlete of the Week once.
