BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the third week in a row, Tennessee State women’s track and field senior Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.) earned Adidas Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.

This week’s award comes on the heels of Dameus’ standout performance at the Bulldog Heptathlon on April 6-7 at the University of Georgia.

Dameus earned fourth place in the heptathlon with a personal record score of 5,729 points. Her point total, which is the best in the OVC this year, ranks eighth in the nation. It beats Dameus’ previous best of 5,399 from the 2014 OVC Outdoor Championship.

In the heptathlon event, she took first in the 200m (23.93), long jump (20’9), while setting personal records in the javelin (128’10) and 800m (2:20.36). Her 200m time and her long jump mark are the best in the OVC this year, while her long jump distance is tied for eighth in the nation this spring.
