BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee State women’s track and field senior Clairwin Dameus (Boynton Beach, Fla.) earned Ohio Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the OVC on Wednesday. It is her first time winning the award for this outdoor season after earning it twice during the indoor portion of the schedule.
Dameus took first in the long jump at the Black and Gold Invitational. Her distance of 20’3 is the best in the OVC this outdoor season and currently ranks 12th in the nation. She also placed eighth in the javelin with a personal record of 127’1, which ranks third in the OVC this year.
The Tigerbelles are in action on March 31-April 2 for the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
