BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee State track and field junior Amber Hughes (Atlanta, Ga.), who earned First Team All-America recognition for the indoor season, was honored for her first performance of the outdoor season by earning Adidas Ohio Valley Conference Co-Track Athlete of the Week.
Hughes earned first place in the 100m hurdles at the Bulls Invitational in Tampa, Fla. with a time of 13.49. The time ranks first in the OVC and seventh among Division I athletes this outdoor season. Hughes was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that took second in 46.14.
The Tigerbelles are set to compete at the Black & Gold Invitational at Vanderbilt on March 25-26.
