Women's Tennis Reschedules Match Against Jacksonville State, Prepares for Eastern Kentucky

Tigers in OVC Action versus Eastern Kentucky, 

Rescheduled Match Against Jacksonville State Set 

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee State University women's tennis team will host Eastern Kentucky in OVC play on March 29th in Nashville, Tenn. at 10 a.m. The Tigers are 0-5 overall and 0-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play.

The women are led by Meagan Haynes (0-5) and Dania Lofton (1-4). Haynes still stands as the Tigers no. 1 player while Lofton has posted the only win thus far. In doubles action, the Tigers are winless at 0-14.

The last time the Tigers were in action on March 20th versus Western Kentucky suffering a 7-0 defeat.  

EKU's women stand 12-5 overall and 1-0 in OVC play winning two of their last five matches while picking up a 7-5 win against Eastern Illinois (3/21). The Colonels are 2-5 on the road and are led by Myriam Mhirit (22-4) and the doubles team of Jemma Euers and Anouk Faure (14-6). In singles play, EKU has powered a 101-51 (.664) record and has continued their play in doubles posting 44-19 (.698) mark.

The Tigers will take on Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Ala. on Tuesday, March 31st, start time is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The match is a make-up after the original scheduled meeting was postponed on Friday, March 27th.
