MURRAY, Ky.--- The Tennessee State women's golf team cut 10 strokes off its best round from day as they close out play at the Jan Weaver Invitational. The two-day event was the final regular season compeition for the Tigers.

Savannah Szozda cut strokes for the second consecutive round and carded a team best 79 on Saturday. The round of 7-over helped the junior jump four spots in the standings. Morgan Rood also improved her score for the second straight round and entered the clubhouse with a 10-over, 82. Rood paced her play through the tournament by posting the third best scores on the Par-3's in the field of 98 golfers, playing the 12 holes at Even par.

Kalee Rhodes and Haleigh Riley claimed the final two scoring rounds for the Tigers with identical 83's, while Trinidy Pate recorded a non-scoring 97.

Up Next: The Tigers will compete at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in Muscle Shoals, Ala. on Apr. 15-17.
