OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – The Tennessee State women’s golf team will close out the 2015-16 season at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship. The event will consist of an 18-hole round on each of the three days of competition.
The championship will be played at the Par-72, 6,050 yard, Hampton Cove as part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail just outside of Huntsville, Ala.
The Tigers will compete in the 10-team field with seniors Kelly Merkel and Sarah Needleman, junior Natalie Spicer and freshman Paige Harlin.
Needleman will be in the first group on the course, teeing off at 8:00am. Harlin follows at 8:10am, ahead of Spicer at 8:20am. Merkel is heads out at 8:30am and is the last Tiger to tee off.
TSU will be paired with Eastern Illinois on Monday. The Tigers finished ahead of the Panthers at the Saluki Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois on Mar. 27-28.
