Carbondale, Ill. – Tennessee State fell off a bit on day two of the Saluki Invitational but still held on to 12th place in the field of 15.
Kelly Merkel carded the top score of the day for the Tigers with an 84, finishing ahead of yesterday’s leader Sarah Needleman who fired an 85 during the second round. Natalie Spicer finished a stroke off of the previous day with an 86.
Imani Stingley recorded the final scoring mark for TSU with a 95, two strokes ahead of Paige Harlin’s (97) non-scoring round.
The Tigers will be off until Apr. 8-9 when they will participate in the Murray State Invitational.
