NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State women’s golf team will open the season at the Murray State Invitational on Monday, Sept. 14. The two day tournament will consist of two 18-hole rounds at the Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky.
Seniors Kelly Merkel and Sarah Needleman will lead the Tigers and will be joined by junior Natalie Spicer and sophomore Imani Stingley. Freshman Paige Harlin will make her Tennessee State debut on Monday.
The Tigers will compete in the field of 13 which consists of Cumberland, Indiana State, IPFW, Marshall, Lipscomb, Southern Illinois, and Ohio Valley Conference opponents Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, SIUE, Tennessee Tech and host Murray State.
Day one will begin with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start, while day two will start at 10:00 a.m.
