Nashville, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University women's golf team will travel Scottsboro, Ala. to compete in the Alabama A&M Spring Golf Classic.

The event will take place from March 28-29 at the Goose Pond Colony Plantations Golf Course. The landscape is known for its two 18-hole championship courses.

The pool of competition will include women's squads from Hampton, Alcorn State, Prairie View A&M, and Mississippi Valley State.

TSU is coming off of a third place win last week at the CBU Golf Classic hosted by Christian Brothers University.

Last year at the Alabama A&M Spring Golf Classic, the Tigers finished in second place shooting rounds of 362 and 358 for a stroke count of 720. Jamie Pierce and Marie Black were both named to the all-tournament team finishing in the top ten in the individual rankings.

Next, the women will return the green from April 3-4 for the Belmont Invitational at the Old Hickory Country Club in Old Hickory, Tenn.
