Troy, Ala. --- The final round of the Troy Invitational was canceled as the Tennessee State University women's golf team placed 10th after two rounds.
The tournament, held at the Troy Country Club in Troy, Alabama, featured ten teams including OVC member Austin Peay.
Tennessee State finished 10th carding a (+181) 757 for the tournament. Jamie Pierce led all TSU scorers with a 19-over par 163. She shot 81 in round one and 82 in the second round. Her score was good for a 33rd place finish.
Marie Black recorded a 50-over 194 (98-96) while Katelyn Dingeman shot 197 (93-104). Mya Billingsley carded a 203 (106-97) while Jatoia Potts notched a 252 (132-120).
Louisiana-Monroe won the tournament finishing with a 31-over 607. Troy was second with a score of 609 while Western Kentucky (616) rounded out the top three. Austin Peay placed sixth and shot a 47-over 623.
