Dickson, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University women's golf team closed out the Ohio Valley Conference Golf Championship in eighth place early Saturday morning.
The Tigers finished with rounds of 374, 393, and 190 for a total score of 957 (237-over-par).
The championship was cut short to 45 holes played on the par-72 course due to inclement weather. The first nine holes of the final round were played on day two of the competition as a result of the projected severe weather that cut the final day of the championship.
Murray State captured the team title shooting 27-over-par for a final score of 747 (306, 298, 143) and Austin Peay State's Chelsea Harris finished even with scores of 71, 74, and 35 (180) to win the individual title.
