TECH LEADS AFTER FIRST DAY OF WOMEN'S GOLF EVENT
NASHVILLE --- Tennessee Tech holds a 23-stroke lead after the first round of the TSU Fall Quad Women's Golf Tournament being held at Nashboro Village Golf Club. Tech shot a 325 Monday while Evansville shot 348 and host TSU had a 369. The fourth scheduled team, Alabama A&M was a late withdrawal from the field. Tech's Beth Underhill (78) and Megan French (79) are first and second after the first day while teammate Kristen Martinez is tied for third with Evansville's Helen Cuffe with an 82. TSU's Leslie Scarborough is fifth with an 85. The second and final round on the par-72, 5,959-yard course will be played Tuesday.
