Wynn Leads Tigerbelles at OVC Cross Country Championship

CHARLESTON, Ill. --- The Tennessee State women’s cross country team placed 12th at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Saturday at the Panther Trail Course. Freshman Rebekah Wynn was TSU’s top finisher in the 5K for the fifth meet in a row.

Wynn’s time of 20:45.2 was good for 81st overall. Kayla Pryor (21:47.2) and Christian Pryor (21:50.1) were TSU’s next two finishers in the final cross country meet of their TSU careers.

Eastern Kentucky captured the team title with 15 points. Belmont took second with 80 points, and Eastern Illinois secured third with 107 points.

  • The Tigerbelles had the same top three finishers – Rebekah Wynn, Kayla Pryor and Christian Pryor – in all five meets this season.
