TSU Women's Cross Country Performs Well in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Kenyana Hampton (Pittsburgh, Pa.) led the Tennessee State women’s cross country team with a 75th place finish in the 5K Blue Race at the Louisville Sports Commission Cross Country Classic on Saturday at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park. As a team, the Tigerbelles placed 38th overall with 1,145 points.

Hampton’s time of 19:33.25 was her best in the 5K this cross country season. Kayla Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) was second on the team in 21:35.43, followed closely by her sister, Christian Pryor (Ellenwood, Ga.) with a time of 21:40.63. 

Jasmir Spearman (Atlanta, Ga.) ran a time of 22:46.10 with Alexia King (Atlanta, Ga.) taking fifth on the team in 23:14.15.

Next on the schedule for TSU is the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Oct. 29 at Percy Warner Park.
