Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University women's track and field teams released their indoor and outdoor schedules for the 2010-2011 season. The women will head to Murfreesboro, Tenn. to compete in the first event of the indoor season at the Middle Tennessee State Christmas Invitational, (12/11).
The Tigerbelles return home to host the Ed Temple Classic on Saturday, January 8.
Next up, the Tigerbelles will head to Carbondale, Ill. to compete in the Southern Illinois Saluki Open on January 14-15.
After a week off, the Tigerbelles will host their only event of the indoor season at the TSU Invite on January 29.
In consecutive weeks, the Tigerbelles will compete in Murfreesboro. The first meet will be the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raider Classic (02/05), and then the following week brings the Middle Tennessee State Valentine Invitational (02/12).
The women will have a week off to prepare for the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championship hosted by Eastern Illinois from February 24-26.
The Tigerbelles will kick off the 2011 outdoor season when they head to Tallahassee, Fla. to compete in the Florida A&M Relays.
Next up for the women will be the Morehouse College Relays in Atlanta, Ga. from March 18-19. Following are the South Carolina Weems Baskin Relays in Columbia, SC. from March 25-26.
Saturday, April 9 will be the first of two events in two weeks in the city of Nashville for the Tigerbelles. They will host the 9th annual Boston-Moon Classic at the Ed Temple Track and Field Complex. The following week, (04/16) they will head across town to race in the Vanderbilt Invite.
The women will wrap up the regular season at the Penn Relays from April 21-23. The race will be held in Philadelphia, Pa.
The women will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championship. The championship will be hosted by Murray State. The championship will be held in Murray, Ky. from May 6-7.
