Greensboro, N.C. - Tennessee State University Tigerbelle long jumper, Martinique Guice, recorded her best jump of the season at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Rounds (Regionals) Track and Field Championship hosted by North Carolina A&T on Thursday (5/27).

Guice's jump of 19' 8.75" (6.01m) was good for a 20th overall finish in a field of 48 competitors per event. She misses the cut-off mark just shy of a foot with the top 12 advancing to the 2010 NCAA Track and Field Championship on June 9-12 at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene.

The junior from Hendersonville, Tenn. concludes the season making consecutive regional appearances while winning her fifth individual Ohio Valley Conference crown in an event.

Her medal count increases to three outdoor and two indoor titles. She picked up back-to-back, indoor and outdoor conference wins in the long jump after winning the 100m dash her freshman year.
