Cheeseborough-Guice Selected to Coach USA Team at Penn Relays

Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State University Tigerbelle head coach, Chandra Cheeseborough-Guice, has been selected to coach several relay teams at the USA versus The World. The competition is in conjunction with the Penn Relays, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Penn.

The meet is scheduled to air live on ESPN2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Countries competing in the USA versus The World include: Jamaica, Bahamas, Germany, Nigeria, St. Kitts & Nevis, Russia, Great Britain, Trinidad & Tobago, France, Austrailia, Kenya, Canada and the Dominican Republic.

Coach Cheeseborough-Guice will be in charge of administering the 4x100-meter, 4x400-meter, and sprint medley relay teams. She is coming off her first USA Track and Field coaching assignment, serving as an assistant during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Her duties during the Penn Relays serves as a warm-up for her assignment as head coach of the women's team during the 2009 Berlin World Track and Field Championship (8/15-23).

Coach Cheeseborough-Guice is no stranger to world competiton, the former Tigerbelle is a three-time Olympic athlete and multiple medal winner.
