Junior middle distance runner Dominique Ward recorded two season personal bests at the Boston-Moon Track Classic run on the Tennessee State University Ed Temple Track, April 14th. The Tigerbelles finished third in the meet with 100 points, behind Seaton Hall (127) and Jacksonville State (113). Ward posted a time of 24.77 in the 200 meter dash and 54.72 in the 400 meter run. Both times were personal and Ohio Valley Conference season bests. She also ran a leg on the 4 X 400M Relay team in 3:55.29, a team season best for 2007. Seven other Tigerbelles and the 4 X100M Relay team posted season best marks at the meet. The other ladies with season bests were: - Mariele Hill, 100M - 12.10 - Felicia Jeffers, 800M - 2:15.28 - Danielle Abraham, 800M - 2:16.44 - Salisha Marryshow, 100M Hurdles - 15.87 ... 400M Hurdles - 1:08.69 - Gladys Williams, 400M Hurdles - 1:10. 46 - Michelle Stinnette, Long Jump - 17-10.25 - Lanika Horn, Triple Jump - 35-07.25 - 4X100M Relay Team, -- 46.48 - 4X400M Relay Team, -- 3:55.29 "We are showing good improvement in our times" said Tigerbelle coach Chandra Cheeseborough. "I'm looking for increased performances in our final meets leading up to the conference championships. After that, we should have some qualifiers for the NCAA (Regional)." The Tigerbelles are scheduled to run at the Vanderbilt Relays (4/21), the Penn Relays (4/25) and the Western Kentucky Classic (4/27) before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in Charleston, IL May 4-5th.
