OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST CHANDRA CHEESEBOROUGH TO BE HONORED

NASHVILLE--- Tennessee State University will honor seven individuals with the 'Women of Legend and Merit' award. Among the ladies that will be honored is head women's track coach Chandra Cheeseborough. In 1984, Cheeseborough made Olympic history by running a leg on two Gold Medal Relay teams at the Los Angeles games. She was also a silver medalist in the 400-meters. The awards dinner will take place on March 29, and will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel at 7:00 p.m. There will be a book signing and a reception from 6:00- 6:45 p.m. Dr. Johnetta B. Cole, president of Bennett College for Women will be the keynote speaker for the evening.
