Rasheeda Love joined the Tennessee State University staff as a women’s basketball assistant coach in June 2009. As an assistant coach, Love will assist with recruiting and perimeter development. She will also spearhead the community outreach program and serve as the camp coordinator.
Love comes to Tennessee State after serving five years as a women’s basketball assistant at Southern Illinois University. During her stint at SIU, Love handled all aspects of equipment and all basketball camps. She also assisted with recruiting and perimeter development.
As a player at John A. Logan College, Love helped her squad to a NJCAA Region XXIV tournament title and was named a NJCAA Division I third-team All-American. After transferring from JALC, Love played at Bradley University where she was named to the Missouri Valley All-Defensive Team. She led the Braves in steals and assists as a senior.
A native of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Love graduated from Bradley with a bachelor of science in Family and Consumer Sciences. She was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at Mt. Vernon Township High School.
