NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State University head women’s basketball coach Jessica Kern will receive the Health and a Wellness Innovation Award at the Inaugural Charity Sneaker Ball on Saturday.
The Charity Sneaker Ball, hosted by Creative Girls Rock, will be held at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m
Creative Girls Rock (CGR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization birthed from a passion for creative arts, youth development, community engagement; and, a therapeutic method for anxiety. The organizations mission is to empower women to utilize their creative talent in unique ways to enhance personal creativity and help with overall work-life balance.
The Creative Girls Rock Charity Sneaker Ball is a black-tie event to support nonprofit organizations and youth development programs within the Greater Nashville community. Proceeds from the Charity Sneaker Ball will help to establish the Creative Girls Rock® Foundation. These funds will be used to partner with other 501(c)(3) organizations to support additional organizational programming for females from grade school through adulthood that align with CGR’s mission, purpose and initiatives.
During the event, innovative women who are the epitome of CGR’s four (4) key initiatives: Creative Arts, Mental Health & Wellness, Women Empowerment and Youth Development. In addition, a special award will be given to a recipient that has a major influence on social media platforms: the Social Media Innovator Award.
Kern was selected by the Creative Girls Rock Board of Directors to receive the Health & Wellness Innovation Award.
